How can I update my profile? 

Send us an email with your name and information you would like to update and we will change that for you. 

What if there isn't a category that I would like to be listed under? 

Not all possible categories are listed on the Google Form for the sake of brevity. However they do exsist on the Database to search. Please use the "Other" section in the Google Form to submit your categories or you can use the "Anything Else?" section and we will add it. If you have questions, email us at admin@ottawaartsdatabase.com. 

How can I contact someone who I would like to work with, ask to audition or collaborate on a project? 

As long as it is for a paid gig you can reach out to anyone via the different options they have posted. We do recommend you indicate in your outreach email that you found them on OAD and indicate what you are offering (artistic and pay wise) so that they can make an informed response to your email. 

Can I post my profile here if I split my time between Ottawa and another city? 

Yes, if you can please indicate that in your biography so that people know that you are not always in town but are still looking to connect with people to make local projects as well. 

Can I submit my profile in French? 

Yes! While right now this website and resource is only in English we are looking for another volunteer who can support us in making this website available in French as well. We will submit all postings in the language that it is submitted. Let us know if you can support us with translations! 

I submitted my profile but it's not on the Database. 

We are a volunteer small team, and we will put it up asap. However, if it has been longer than a week, please reach out by email to us. We might have tried emailing you but the email provided wasn't working for us. So please reach out if you haven't heard from us or see your profile! 

I want to submit a workshop that costs money. Which form is most appropriate? 

If it is a workshop that costs money to participate you can submit it in the events form. However if you have an arts worker discount we can also post it on the Community Board. Email us if you aren't sure! 

What if I move and I am no longer in Ottawa? 

We ask that if you are no longer in Ottawa and planning on working in the Ottawa-Gatineau area that you email us admin@ottawaartsdatabase.com and we will remove your name from the database. If you come back, no worries, we can re-add you to the database with your updated profile. 

I have a suggestion on how the Database can work or have another category I think would be useful.
