We were sitting down wondering why we were having a hard time knowing who was still in town, who's new to town, and who's searching for work or wanting to build new connections. We thought if we were having these questions probably others were having these questions too. Out of this conversation the Ottawa Arts Database (OAD) was created. 

The Ottawa Arts Database was created by (and is currently operated by) local artists Caity Smyck and Drea as a volunteer run organization to support our local arts community find connections with each other, learn about paid opportunities and share our artistic events with one another. 

Please join us in adding your profile to the database and increasing our connections with the Ottawa area of arts-based workers. 

We define the "Ottawa area" as anyone who works within what is colonially known as the greater Ottawa-Gatineau area. If you work, perform, create within this large area then this database is for you! 

While this site is currently in English only we encourage French speaking arts workers to use this site as well. We hope to connect more with everyone who works within the arts in the area!
